I can't believe it's already been a year... It seems so impossible. I went by the training center today to pay tribute to Matt and Scott. The County put up a memorial wall at the Contra Costa Training center in honor of the fallen firefighters in the department. The wall lists twelve names, including Michael Impastato, Vito's dad. Paul attended the fire acadamy with Vito in 2002. Also displayed, was a bench with both Matt and Scotts names on it.... The sun was shining down on the flag which was set at half mast. Quite a profound site.
