Thanksgiving Day

Our family, friends, and loved ones are a gift from God and cherished. I am so Thankful that I have them all, and let Thanksgiving remind me to hug a little tighter and hold a little longer....

We had a great Thanksgiving! This year was a little quieter since both of my parents were out of town. We took the opportunity to enjoy some quiet time with grandma Lucy, and Sarah.

I asked everyone what their "must haves" for Thanksgiving were, and let them each prepare their favorite entree. I must say, the food was "FABULOUS".

I made cornbread stuffing, although Paul wished he had my moms. He just loves her stuffing, he says it's a meal in itself!

Pj's favorite entree is Yams, and he prepared them wonderfully, and I was even able to talk him into keeping the pecans.

Jordan chose to make Macaroni and Cheese, his "Must Have" He did a great job following my recipe, which is from SCRATCH! He even made the roux!!!

Sarah made the mashed potatoes perfectly!

Paul bought the pumpkin pie, and washed the shrimp.

And last but not least, Noah helped carve the Turkey. He was a little wigged out, but did great!

Great pics, looks like such a special day! Loved the idea of everyone contributing their favorite part of the meal. Sounds like a good "tradition"!

Also love the music on your blog! How did you do that?
