A very historic election has taken place, and our nation faces a new President Elect Obama. It's a new era, and I am so grateful that my children were able to witness this historical event. All Americans can be proud of the history that was made on election day.
We may not always agree with all of the presented policies, but I will always stand by my president when it comes to a National Crisis, just as I believe every American should do. I plan to give him the respect that was not given by many, to our current President Bush.
I believe in the decades to come, President Bush will have left a legacy that will be in our history books. He is a man that has stood by his WORD, patriotic, steadfast, and has injected strength into our nation during turbulent times of 911, and has done tremendous works with Aids research in Africa.
Bush launched his $1.2 billion malaria initiative in June 2005 with the goal of reducing malaria-related deaths in 15 African countries by 50 percent. The disease kills more than 1 million people a year, most of them African children under age 5 Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said in an interview with the Associated Press. "He should be known for the largest single investment in AIDS and malaria, the biggest health investment of any government program ever."
His unwavering faith in the God given rights of human beings, and the idea of obtaining freedom led him to the battleground of the enslaved Iraqis. I admire and respect his moral courage to stand up against evil and will forever honor him for that.
