Spring break getaway to the Monterey Peninsula

We headed for the Monterey Peninsula for a couple days during spring break. We had a fantastic time. The weather was beautiful on the first day while on the beach. We went to Lovers Point and climbed some rocks and played in the tide pools. We enjoyed the company of some sea otters, my absolute favorite thing to watch. Then we headed to Asilomar Beach, with thousands of feet of beach. The boys skim boarded in the freezing ocean. Thank you Crippens for lending us your boards. A little different than wake boarding, but I think we can learn with wet suits of course!

After cleaning up from the beach, we went back to the hotel to swim and ate dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. at Cannery Row. Great food! The next day we went to the Aquarium which was good to see again. Once every decade is good for me. The last time we took Pj and Jordan was when Jordan was 3, so maybe we'll take Noah again when he's 13 :) Noah had a great time touching the starfish, looking at the sharks and jellyfish, and I of course got to see the sea otters up close and personal.
