VOL Championships

Friday, the day before the meet, PJ fell and strained his wrist, which then turned into a fracture of the distal radius of the right arm and right clavicle. He was convinced that he was NOT going to be able to run as it was too painful to do the blocks and put weight on his wrist.

After showing up to the meet, we ran into Alvin, a God sent, who taped up his wrist, and told him he WILL run! He talked to him, warmed him up, and I gave him a few words of encouragement and sat in the bleachers with my fingers crossed.

He qualified 3rd place moving on to Masters to run the 110HH and the 300H. The Masters was his last meet, not advancing onto the State meet. He had a good strong season, and is hoping to improve next season.

BOYS will be BOYS

While watching (playing and rough housing) at his brothers track meet, Noah fell backwards and broke his wrist. He was such a trooper through it all. He went in for X-rays at Doctors Hospital to find he had a distal radial fracture of the left arm.

The following week we went in for him to be casted with an AWESOME waterproof cast where we had to return for another cast, since he BROKE the first one!

While driving home from the SECOND cast, I got a phone call from Manteca High telling me that PJ thinks he may have broke his arm playing a pick up game of basketball, which happen to be the Friday before his VOL Championship track meet.
